This holiday season, the Max WiFi team is wishing you happy holidays and a great new year.
Our New Year’s resolution is to improve your next-generation Wi-Fi experience. Here are three ways that the latest Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ax—also known as Max WiFi—will do just that:
1) Longer Battery Life
Time Wake Technology (TWT) and scheduling technology save your devices’ energy by letting them “rest” when they aren’t needed. This helps extend your devices’ battery lives up to seven times longer, so you will be able to leave the charger at home and enjoy your devices longer.
2) More Efficiency
Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology enables Max WiFi to direct data traffic in a more efficient way than ever before. Instead of using an entire channel to transmit data from one client device while the other client device’s data waits for “its turn,” Max WiFi schedules traffic so that each device’s data can get through concurrently. That means it can support more of your devices and keep them all running smoothly.
3) Connectivity Even in a Crowd
Max WiFi will allow more devices to connect to a given network at the same time, thanks in part to the efficiency mentioned above. You will be able to count on your connectivity no matter how dense the environment; so you’ll be able to tweet, Snapchat, Facetime, and more just as well at your favorite concert as you do in your own living room.
Here’s to keeping resolutions and to better Wi-Fi that does more. Here’s to Max WiFi.
